Escape From Reality

Between being mobbed by fans, hounded by paparazzi and never getting an ounce of privacy, being a celeb is a very hard life.
A large group of over-worked celebrities have been chosen to be shipped off to Serenity Island. Hearing the name, it sounds like the perfect place for a group of people who live such a hectic life. Contracts were signed, and they were shipped to this island, where they expected it to live up to it's name.
Little did they know, this secluded and unknown island is the exact opposite of what was expected. They come to find out that this entire vacation was nothing but a ploy for them to star in a brand new TV Show called Escape From Reality.
What the audience sees is a television crew who is constantly playing pranks on the celebrities, scaring them out of their wits so they'd appreciate the lives they have a little more. However, what the celebrities see happening on the island is their unfortunate reality.
There's a reason this island not populated. Serenity Island is haunted -- and these spirits are far from kind.

Rules && Guidelines

oo1. Respect is always key in a working RPG. Respect for the mods and respect for the characters and writers. Just because you disagree with someone or something, doesn’t mean you can disrespect them and be rude. If you have an issue, talk to the person in a calm manner and see if you can’t work something out. If you can’t, approach a mod and we’ll do our best to settle it.

oo2. We have a three day inactivity rule. The rule begins as soon as you enter the RPG, no matter if there aren’t many members. There are so many things you can do independently. Even if it’s just a diary entry or a post/picture of something your character found on the island. If you’re going to be gone for any reason, alert the mods because we will not hesitate to shut down your role. Roles can be saved for up to a month, but after that, they will be re-opened.

oo3. Para is required. You should post at least one para on the dash a month, and please tag them and have a link on your page so the mods can have easy access to them to make sure they’re being done.

oo4. OOC posts are to be kept to a minimum. This is not your personal tumblr. I don’t want to read you fangirling and spazzing about OOC stuff when it has absolutely nothing to do with the RPG. If you have something to say OOC, post it in a read more and tag it as such.

oo5. Yes! Original character are welcome! However, there are to be no face repeats unless it is okay with the writer who plays the face first. Make sure your OC is a celebrity. They don’t have to be a big time celeb, but they must be famous in some way.

oo6. This RPG cannot function without plot lines. In order for the story lines to work, you need to be able to plot for your character. So plot, plot, plot!

oo7. Yes, you may post pictures of your celebrity, but only if you have a legitimate reason to. Post a picture surrounded by fans saying “I miss the life I once hated” is acceptable. But just posting a picture because you want to make sure you don’t get removed is not acceptable. Post with reason!

oo8. IC drama is encouraged. Not only the thriller drama, but anything your mind can come up with. Love triangles, hate crimes, blah blah blah. OOC drama? Big. No. Don’t do it. You’ll regret it.

oo9. Pregnancies are allowed. Marriage… is allowed, but given the fact that the island doesn’t exactly have someone who can legally marry you, it’ll be null as soon as you’re off the island. But don’t let that stop you! Marry if you’d like. Just remember, this is not eHarmony. You’re not here just to get involved with love-lines.

o10. Private journals are not required, but encouraged. They get you in your character’s head, and keep the dash flowing.

o11. Repost as often as possible. I don’t want to see reblogs from random tumblrs where the posts only have 3 notes on them. That’s how real life blogs find you. It gets really annoying when that happens, so please just make everyone’s lives easier.

o12. There are no character limits. Play as many people as you want, but remember… the more roles you hog, the less you can do with others.

o13. Please put a link to the RPG on your blog.

Finally… have fun and be creative!
